What are we looking for?
We are seeking lawyers with substantial, demonstrable experience in PoSH matters to be empanelled as External Members on the Internal Committees (ICs) of our client organisations. The professional should have a explicit and practical understanding of the role and responsibilities of an External Member under the PoSH Act, 2013 and PoSH Rules, 2013, including inquiry process, confidentiality, timelines and principles of natural justice.

Important aspects of the role
- Provide guidance and support to the IC in assessing complaints and evidence, and in determining appropriate courses of action in line with the PoSH law and policy.
- Support the IC in ensuring timely completion of inquiries and submission of annual reports to the employer and, where applicable, to the relevant authorities.
- Assist in conducting meetings, conciliation (where legally permissible) and inquiry proceedings in accordance with applicable law and organisational procedures.
- Contribute to drafting reasoned findings and final recommendations, and to preparation of comprehensive inquiry reports.
- Participate in periodic IC meetings and reviews as scheduled with the Presiding Officer and the organisation.
Knowledge and experience required
- Preferably 3–7 years of relevant experience with strong understanding of the PoSH Act, Rules and key judicial developments, and hands‑on experience with PoSH cases and/or IC proceedings.
- Proven experience in handling or advising on PoSH complaints, conducting impartial inquiries, and supporting appropriate redressal and remedial measures.
- Strong commitment to a gender‑sensitive, inclusive and unbiased approach, ensuring fair treatment and due process for all parties.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity while engaging with complainants, respondents, witnesses and management.
- Sound organisational and time‑management skills to handle multiple matters, adhere to statutory timelines and support smooth functioning of the IC.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals across levels and diverse backgrounds, fostering an environment of respect and psychological safety.
- Demonstrated professionalism, ethical conduct, and commitment to upholding principles of justice, confidentiality and impartiality in all PoSH‑related work.
