Role Description The Executive Pharmacist will oversee and manage pharmacy operations at Renova’s on-site hospital facility in the Alwar district, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely dispensing of medications. This full-time role includes verifying prescriptions, monitoring drug interactions, and providing clear medication counseling to patients and caregivers in coordination with the medical and nursing teams.
The Executive
Pharmacist will maintain proper inventory levels, manage procurement, ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital policies, and uphold strict standards for storage, documentation, and record-keeping. Daily responsibilities also involve participation in clinical reviews, supporting antimicrobial stewardship and other quality initiatives,
and contributing to formulary management and cost-effective use of medicines. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to promote rational drug use, support patient safety, and deliver high-quality pharmacy services aligned with Renova’s clinical protocols.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy, pharmacology, and therapeutic drug monitoring, with the ability to review prescriptions for safety, efficacy, and appropriate dosing.
- Proficiency in hospital pharmacy operations, including inventory management, procurement, storage, dispensing processes, and adherence to NABH standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to use hospital information systems and electronic medical records for prescription entry, medication reconciliation, and documentation, with basic computer literacy.
- Excellent communication and counseling skills to explain medication use, side effects, and adherence requirements to patients, families, and clinical staff.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a high level of integrity for maintaining accurate records, controlled substances management, and audit readiness.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm/M.Pharm) from a recognized institution; valid professional registration with the relevant pharmacy council.
- Prior experience in a hospital or oncology-focused pharmacy setting is preferred; familiarity with chemotherapy handling and cytotoxic drug protocols is an advantage.
