Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Estimation Engineer with 4–6 years of experience in the building and construction industry. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, quantity take-offs, BOQs, rate analysis, and tender submissions while coordinating with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal project teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates for building and construction projects.
- Review architectural, structural, MEP, and other project drawings and specifications.
- Conduct rate analysis for civil, structural, finishing, and other construction activities.
- Prepare estimates for materials, labour, equipment, subcontractor works, and other project requirements.
- Analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
- Prepare tender estimates, quotations, comparative statements, and bid proposals.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Coordinate with procurement, planning, project, design, and commercial teams.
- Identify discrepancies, variations, exclusions, and potential cost risks in tender documents.
- Assist in preparing BOQ revisions, variation orders, and cost comparisons during project execution.
- Maintain estimation databases, rate libraries, and historical project cost records.
- Ensure estimates are prepared within required timelines and meet company standards.




- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and discussions with clients/consultants when required.
- Support management in evaluating project profitability and commercial feasibility.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of construction estimation and quantity surveying.
- Positive understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and construction estimation tools/software.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Knowledge of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and tendering procedures.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
- Knowledge of relevant IS codes, construction standards, and specifications will be an advantage.

Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in estimation/quantity surveying within the building or construction industry.

Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, or high-rise building projects will be preferred.
