Your role and responsibilities :

You will be joining as a Embedded Software Porting & Validation Engineer in the Traction Division, based in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will work closely with global engineering teams supporting controller modernization, embedded software migration, customer project customization, type testing, and system validation activities for auxiliary power conversion systems. You will be responsible for migrating legacy customer applications to current hardware platforms while ensuring functional compatibility, product quality, regulatory compliance, and successful deployment in applications.

This role is contributing to the in Motion Business Traction Division in Bangalore ,India.

You will be mainly accountable for:





- Analyze legacy embedded software architectures and perform migration to next-generation microcontroller platforms.
- Port Embedded C firmware across different hardware generations while maintaining functional equivalence.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain firmware for auxiliary converter control systems. Support integration of CAN, CANOpen, Ethernet, RS232, MVB, and PC104-based interfaces.
- Perform hardware-software integration for power electronic converters and control units.
- Use service and diagnostic tools to analyze field issues, event logs, and system performance.
- Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer acceptance testing. Collaborate with vehicle control system and integration teams.

Qualifications for the role:

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Control Systems, Power
