To maintain the plant’s electrical systems safely and effectively through regular inspection, preventive maintenance, breakdown troubleshooting and electrical installation work.Key Responsibilities

- Inspect and maintain HT/LT panels, PCC, MCC panels, distribution boards and control panels.
- Check breakers, contactors, relays, fuses, busbars, cable terminations and panel earthing.
- Inspect and maintain motors, starters, VFDs, soft starters and motor control circuits.
- Diagnose motor overloading, overheating, abnormal current, tripping and insulation problems.
- Conduct routine checks of transformers, including oil level, temperature, leakage, breather, earthing and cable connections.
- Execute scheduled daily, weekly, monthly and shutdown preventive-maintenance activities.
- Attend electrical breakdowns promptly, identify the fault and safely restore equipment.
- Record breakdown cause, corrective action, parts replaced and equipment downtime.
- Carry out power, control, instrumentation and automation cable laying, glanding, ferruling, dressing and termination.
- Support wiring and troubleshooting of PLC panels, sensors, limit switches, proximity switches and solenoid valves.
- Assist in electrical installation, modification, commissioning and Project & shutdown work.
- Maintain plant lighting, power distribution and electrical housekeeping.
- Complete PM checklists, shift logbooks, equipment readings and maintenance reports.
- Inform the Electrical Engineer about abnormal conditions, recurring failures and required spares.
- Coordinate with Operations, Mechanical, Instrumentation and HSE teams.

Safety Responsibilities




- Strictly follow Permit-to-Work and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Confirm isolation and absence of voltage before starting maintenance.
- Use required PPE, insulated tools and calibrated testing instruments.
- Never bypass electrical interlocks or safety devices without authorization.
- Immediately report exposed conductors, damaged cables, overheating, sparking or unsafe conditions.
- HT switching shall be performed only by authorized and competent personnel.

Qualification and Experience
- ITI – Electrician Trade from a recognized institute.
- Valid Wireman/Competency Certificate, wherever legally required.
- Minimum 4–5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
- Experience in mineral-processing, chemical, cement or continuous-process plants is preferred.

Required Technical Skills
- HT/LT panels, motors, transformers, MCCs, starters and VFDs.
- Industrial power, control and automation cabling.
- Reading single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams and control circuits.
- Use of multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester and earth tester.
- Electrical fault-finding and secure equipment restoration.
