Role & responsibilities

Grid Coordination & Current Power Connections

- Lead MSEB licensing: End-to-end responsibility for securing new power connections, handling load enhancement requests, and managing maximum demand (MD) limits.
- Tariff & Power Optimization: Analyse monthly electricity bills, optimize power factor, harmonics and implement energy-saving initiatives to minimize grid penalties.
- Substation Management: Oversee operation and breakdown maintenance of HT/LT substations, transformers, and main incomer breakers (ACB/VCB).

Control Panel Designing & Asset Management

- Electrical Panel Design: Design, modify, and upgrade LT distribution boards, APFC panels, and customized PLC/VFD control panels for assembly lines.
- Component Selection: Draft Bills of Materials (BOM), select appropriate switchgear (ratings for contactors, MCBs, MPCBs), and define cable sizing.
- Drawing Literacy: Create and update comprehensive electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical or similar engineering tools.

Plant Maintenance (Cranes & Compressors)

- EOT Overhead Cranes: Manage electrical maintenance of overhead cranes, including pendant controls, radio remote controls (RRC), DSL busbars, hoist motors, and limit switches.
- Industrial Air Compressors: Ensure maximum uptime of high-capacity screw air compressors, troubleshooting electronic controllers, pressure switches, and auxiliary cooling circuits.
- Assembly Line Automation: Maintain specialized torque tools, pneumatic-electric pressing stations, and conveyor systems critical to trailer suspension assembly.

Statutory Licensing & Agency licensing

- Government Compliances: Obtain, renew,



and maintain all necessary electrical licenses from the Electrical Inspectorate (CEIG) and state safety agencies.
- Third-Party Audits: Coordinate mandatory annual energy audits, electrical safety audits, and earth-resistance testing with certified external agencies.
- Vendor Management: Manage specialized external contractors for transformer oil testing (BDV), relay calibration, and heavy equipment certification.

Added Value: Operational Excellence (AI/Expert Recommended)

- PPM Strategy via CMMS: Establish a strict Preventive and Predictive Maintenance schedule for all electrical infrastructure to achieve zero unplanned line stops.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Lead formal investigations into critical electrical breakdowns (e.g., repeating motor burnouts, component frying) using tools like 5-Why Analysis.
- Safety Leadership (LOTO): Enforce absolute adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, arc-flash safety, and Indian Electricity (IE) Rules across the plant.
- Audit: Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, statutory requirements, and LOTO procedure along with conduct electrical safety inspections and support electrical safety, EHS, 5S, ISO and IATF audits- Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure timely closure of audit observations.

Preferred candidate profile

- Education: Bachelors Degree (B.E./B. Tech) or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Licenses: A valid Electrical Supervisor License issued by the state licensing board is highly preferred.
- Industrial Experience: 4 to 7 years of robust maintenance experience inside heavy engineering, automotive assembly, or heavy fabrication industries.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, PLC troubleshooting software, and MS Excel for maintenance tracking.
