We are seeking an experienced Veeam Backup Administrator to join our Infrastructure Operations team. The ideal candidate will have robust hands-on expertise in Veeam Backup & Replication, enterprise backup environments, troubleshooting complex backup issues, and providing L2/L3 support. The candidate should be capable of performing root cause analysis, managing backup infrastructure, handling escalations, and ensuring high availability and reliability of backup solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Administer, maintain, and support enterprise backup environments using Veeam Backup & Replication.
Provide L2/L3 support for backup and recovery operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve backup failures, restore issues, and infrastructure-related incidents.
Perform detailed root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring backup issues and implement preventive measures.
Manage backup upgrades, patches,
and version migrations.
Monitor backup performance and optimize backup and recovery processes.
Support and maintain tape library environments, including MSL, StoreOnce, and similar technologies.
Troubleshoot SAN connectivity and storage-related backup issues.
Coordinate and manage escalations with Veeam Support and other technology vendors.
Support cloud-based backup integrations with AWS and Azure settings.
Ensure compliance with backup policies, retention requirements, and disaster recovery procedures.
Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
Required Skills & Experience
6+ years of hands-on experience in Veeam administration and support.
Robust expertise in Veeam Backup & Replication.
Experience providing L2/L3 support in enterprise environments.
Proven experience troubleshooting backup failures and recovery issues.
