About The Job:
We are hiring Mortgage Underwriters with experience in Live Underwriting and/or Post Closing Underwriting Review within the US Mortgage domain.
The candidate will be responsible for reviewing mortgage loan files, validating borrower eligibility, assessing risk, and ensuring compliance with agency, investor, and regulatory guidelines.
The role requires robust expertise in income calculation, credit analysis, asset review, collateral evaluation, and mortgage documentation review.
Candidates with exposure to post-closing audits, re-underwriting, quality reviews,



and compliance reviews are also encouraged to apply.

Essential Job Functions:

Live Underwriting
Perform end-to-end underwriting of residential mortgage loan files.
Review borrower credit, income, assets, collateral, and liabilities.
Evaluate loan eligibility based on agency and investor guidelines.
Analyze tax returns, W-2s, pay stubs, bank statements, appraisal reports, and other supporting documents.
Calculate income and debt-to-income (DTI) ratios accurately.
Identify and assess potential credit and compliance risks.
Issue underwriting decisions, conditions, approvals, suspensions, or denials.
Ensure adherence to applicable lending policies and mortgage regulations.
Work closely with processors, closers, and operations teams for condition clearing and loan approvals.

Post Closing Underwriting / Review
Conduct post-closing reviews of closed mortgage loan files.
Re-underwrit
