About the Role

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with robust hands on experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our growing engineering team in Kolkata. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automation frameworks that enable fast, reliable, and secure software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Provision and manage AWS infrastructure including EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, VPC, Load Balancers, Lambda, and other AWS services using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation).
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security using Amazon CloudWatch, CloudWatch Logs, and other monitoring and observability tools.
- Automate deployment, scaling, and configuration management using scripting (Bash, Python, and/or PowerShell).
- Manage containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
- Implement and manage version control workflows (Git) and branching strategies.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to streamline release processes and improve deployment reliability.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies for AWS workloads.
- Implement and manage security best practices, including AWS IAM, RBAC/permissions, Secrets Manager/Parameter Store, security groups, and compliance requirements.




- Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
- Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps tools, processes, automation, reliability, and deployment practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–6 years of experience in DevOps/Cloud Engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including compute, storage, networking, and identity/access management.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS).
- Scripting skills in Bash, Python, and/or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Amazon CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Understanding of networking concepts including VPC, subnets, security groups, Load Balancers, VPN, and DNS.
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Knowledge of AWS security best practices, IAM, access control, secrets management, and secure infrastructure configuration.
- Good understanding of Linux administration and troubleshooting.

Good to Have
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified Developer – Associate,



or AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer – Associate.
- Experience with other cloud platforms (Azure/GCP).
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
- Experience with Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, or other cloud-native tools.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Immediate joiners most preferred .Candidates based in Kolkata would be preferred for this requirement Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month

- Can you describe a CI/CD pipeline you built or maintained end-to-end — what tools did you use (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/CodePipeline), and what was the most challenging automation problem you solved with Terraform or CloudFormation
- Tell me about a production incident you handled — how did you detect it (CloudWatch/monitoring), what was your root-cause process, and what did you change afterward to prevent recurrence?
- How do you approach IAM permissions and secrets management in AWS — do you follow least-privilege by default? Also, have you ever had to optimize AWS costs, and what levers did you pull?
