The role involves monitoring , troubleshooting and maintain SSIS packages and ETL (Extract , Transform , Load ) workflows that are critical to business operations .
The ideal candidate should have robust debugging skills , a proactive attitude, and the ability to work on incident management under pressure .
Key Responsibilities :
Monitor production SSIS jobs and ETL pipelines to ensure timely completion .
Investigate , troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to SSIS package .
Provide L3 support by analyzing logs, debugging SQL queries, and identifying root causes.
Proactive approach to resolve all the incidents within SLA
On-call support is required for production incident.
Perform impact analysis and recovery actions for failed jobs.
Coordinate with development and other feature teams for bug fixes and enhancements when required .
Maintain and update job schedules , error handling and retry mechanisms.
Create and update Knowledge Base (KB) articles for common SSIS issues .
Support incident management (Priority ticket handling ) and participate in post-incident reviews .
Ensure adherence to SLA's and escalation protocols.
Suggest automation prospects to reduce manual monitoring efforts .
Basic knowledge of project management tool . (Jira )
Required Skills :
Strong understanding of SSIS architecture and package execution flow.
Proficient in SQL server – ability to debug queries and stored procedures .
Experience in job scheduling
Positive understanding of ETL error handling and logging best practices .
