Role Description
Software Developer – 4-6 Years of Experience Technical Requirements Mandatory Skills
- Solid Python development experience, ideally with Python 3.10 in backend services or API-oriented applications.
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI and Uvicorn, including route design, validation, dependency injection patterns, async behavior and operational logging.
- Experience creating or maintaining BFF layers that adapt backend/domain services for front-end workflows.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, data validation, error handling, service-to-service calls and backend integration testing.
- Familiarity with microservice architecture and the trade-offs around splitting, combining or simplifying services.
- Ability to debug product issues across backend code, API responses, logs, databases, front-end symptoms and deployment state.
- Strong autonomy and ownership, with enough communication discipline to keep product, QA and other developers aligned.
- A practical testing mindset: unit tests, API tests, integration tests, mocks/fixtures and regression checks for realistic product scenarios. Preferred skills
- Angular v17 experience is a major plus, especially for integrating BFF routes with user workflows and helping front-end debugging.
- Experience with Kubernetes basics: pods, services, logs, readiness/liveness probes, config maps, secrets and deployment troubleshooting.
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines, especially for Python services, release builds, SBOM generation and automated test execution.
- Experience helping a team develop a product after initial delivery, including triage, reproduction,
root-cause analysis and close collaboration with QA.
- Knowledge of authentication/session handling, token refresh and multi-user edge cases.
- Familiarity with scientific, device-driven or laboratory workflows where state transitions and data consistency are significant. Knowledge
