Role: Electrical Design Engineer

Job Summary We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with 1 3 years of experience in electrical design, wiring harness development, and CAD-based engineering. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with SolidWorks Electrical, Creo Cabling, Creo Schematics, and AutoCAD , along with a good understanding of electrical components, drafting standards, and Bill of Materials (BOM).

Experience in the HVAC domain and exposure to NPD, QnR, and VAVE projects will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and design electrical wiring harnesses and routing solutions within a CAD workplace.
- Create and modify electrical designs using SolidWorks Electrical, Creo Cabling, Creo Schematics, and AutoCAD.
- Develop harness designs based on electrical schematics and program requirements.
- Select appropriate wires, terminals, connectors, fuses, and other electrical components based on design requirements.
- Perform electrical network analysis and support electrical system design activities.
- Establish and support local capabilities for electrical wiring and harness design.
- Ensure designs comply with internal engineering standards, drafting practices, and applicable requirements.
- Apply ASME Y14.5M drafting and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing principles where applicable.
- Prepare and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and engineering documentation.
- Support NPD, QnR, and VAVE projects as required.
- Manage design and drawing releases with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and program teams to resolve design-related issues.
- Adapt to changing project requirements, priorities, and business objectives.





Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1 3 years of experience in Electrical Design / Electrical Engineering / Wiring Harness Design.
- Hands-on experience with:

- SolidWorks Electrical

- Creo Cabling

- Creo Schematics

- AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of electrical wiring, harness design, and routing.
- Knowledge of electrical component selection, including:

- Wires and cables

- Terminals

- Connectors

- Fuses

- Other electrical devices
- Understanding of electrical network analysis and basic electrical system design.
- Good knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and management.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawing and drafting practices.
- Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M / GD&T; principles is preferred.
- Ability to independently handle design and drawing release activities with minimal guidance.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic engineering environment.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience in the HVAC domain.
- Exposure to New Product Development (NPD) projects.
- Experience with QnR (Quality & Reliability) projects.
- Exposure to VAVE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering) activities.
- Experience developing and maintaining company design standards.
- Experience working with cross-functional and global engineering teams.
