Role Description The Design Development Manager – Leafspring Division will lead the end-to-end design and development of leaf springs, from concept through prototyping, validation, and production release. This full-time, on-site role in Maharashtra, India involves coordinating with cross-functional teams in engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure designs meet performance, safety, cost, and regulatory requirements. The manager will oversee design reviews, manage design documentation,



and implement design changes based on customer specifications, test results, and field feedback.

Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and prioritizing design projects, applying design standards and best practices, collaborating with customers and OEMs on technical requirements, and driving continuous improvement in design processes and product performance. The role also includes mentoring team members, ensuring adherence to company quality systems, and supporting current technology adoption within the Leafspring Division.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Design Thinking, with the ability to translate customer requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; advanced qualifications or specialized training in automotive design are an advantage.
- Experience in suspension or leaf spring design, automotive components, or precision engineered products, preferably within an OEM or Tier-1 environment.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools, understanding of materials and manufacturing processes (forging, heat treatment, machining), and familiarity with relevant industry standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
- Ability to lead and develop design teams, communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and work on-site in a fast-paced industrial setting.
