We are looking for an experienced Safety head to lead *Process Safety Management (PSM) for a Solar Cell Manufacturing facility. The role will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and controlling risks associated with hazardous chemicals, toxic gases, fire and explosion hazards, emergency response systems, contractor safety, and statutory compliance.

Strong Process

Safety experience is mandatory.

Preferred Background

- 5-7 years of relevant experience in Chemical, Petrochemical, Refinery, Industrial Gas, Specialty Chemical, or Pharmaceutical API industries.

- Degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred) along with Diploma/PG Diploma in Industrial Safety or equivalent qualification.

- Demonstrated experience in managing high-hazard operations involving hazardous chemicals, toxic gases, flammable gases/liquids, chemical storage and transfer systems, gas detection systems, scrubbers, ventilation systems, and fire protection systems.

- Hands-on experience in Process Safety Management (PSM), HAZOP, Risk Assessment, Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), Management of Change (MOC), Permit-to-Work (PTW), Incident Investigation, and Emergency Response Planning.

- Experience in greenfield project commissioning, startup safety reviews,



and operational safety management will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and implement site-wide EHS and Process Safety programs.

- Develop and maintain systems for protected handling of hazardous chemicals and toxic gases.

- Conduct and facilitate HAZOPs, risk assessments, safety audits, and process hazard analyses.

- Ensure effective operation of gas detection, emergency shutdown, fire protection, and emergency response systems.

- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

- Drive contractor safety management and safe work practices across the plant.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory, environmental, occupational health, and safety requirements.

- Build a strong safety culture through training, coaching, emergency drills, and leadership engagement.
