Role Description The Deputy Manager Logistics will oversee day-to-day logistics operations to ensure timely, cost-effective, and accurate movement of materials and finished goods. This full-time, on-site role is based in Purba Medinipur and involves coordinating with suppliers, transporters, warehouses, and internal teams for scheduling dispatches, tracking shipments, and resolving delivery issues.

The role includes monitoring inventory levels, optimizing storage and distribution plans, and ensuring adherence to safety, compliance, and company policies.

Logistics will analyze logistics data, prepare reports, implement process improvements, and support overall supply chain efficiency. The role also requires close collaboration with procurement, production, and customer service to maintain high service levels and minimize operational disruptions.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Logistics Management and Supply Chain Management skills to oversee end-to-end movement of materials and finished goods.
- Candidates should possess Inventory Management expertise to maintain optimal stock levels, minimize shortages, and reduce excess inventory.
- Candidates should possess Procurement and vendor coordination skills to support sourcing activities, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to address delivery-related issues, manage stakeholder expectations, and maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, operations management, or a related field; experience in manufacturing or infrastructure sectors is preferred.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational abilities, along with proficiency in ERP or logistics management software.
- Ability to work on-site, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
