Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with a robust focus on PostgreSQL to join our dynamic team in Gurugram. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in database management, with a proven track record of working with PostgreSQL. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can ensure the performance, integrity, and security of our databases while providing support for database-related issues.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high availability and performance.

Monitor database performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies.

Perform regular database backups and recovery operations to ensure data integrity and availability.

Develop and implement database security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive information.

Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas and queries.

Provide support for database-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving problems as they arise.

Document database configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference.





Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in database management.

Mandatory Skills:

Extensive experience with PostgreSQL, including installation, configuration, and administration.

Strong understanding of database design principles and data modeling.

Proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL for writing complex queries and stored procedures.

Experience with database backup and recovery strategies.

Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques for PostgreSQL.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Database for PostgreSQL).

Familiarity with other database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle).

Knowledge of database monitoring tools and performance analysis.

Experience with database migration and upgrade processes.

Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Relevant certifications in PostgreSQL or database management are a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
