Lead Marico Innovation Foundation’s agriculture mandate across two equal charters: scaling high-potential agri-tech/agri-business startups and designing & executing field-based interventions to solve structural agriculture challenges such as post-harvest losses and farmer-income constraints. The role owns the programs end-to-end, from startup due diligence and growth acceleration to field implementation, impact measurement and ecosystem dissemination.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Scale-Up Program, Agriculture Vertical

- Portfolio Strategy: Define the annual roadmap for the agriculture vertical, aligned to MIF's broader impact goals.
- Sourcing and Selection: Lead the full funnel of identifying and onboarding high potential agri startups, including rigorous business due diligence.
- Growth Acceleration: Serve as portfolio manager for a cohort of agri startups, guiding them from pilot stage to mass market adoption.
- Ecosystem Building: Build and maintain a working network of agri scientists, supply chain experts, market access mentors, and investors.

2. Krishi Innovation Program

- Program Design and Architecture: Lead the concept design of Krishi Innovation Program interventions, applying design thinking to structural problems such as post harvest losses and farmer income constraints.
- Field Execution: Own end to end execution of on ground pilots, managing implementation partners and resolving ground level challenges in real time. This requires regular field travel and direct engagement with farmers and Farmer Producer Organizations.
- Impact Assessment and Reporting:



Design the impact measurement framework for each intervention and report outcomes with rigor to Foundation leadership and funders.
- Dissemination and Evangelism: Build and execute a strategy that carries proven interventionsand results across the agriculture innovation ecosystem, including government, philanthropic, and industry audiences

Skills Required

Key Skills:

- Master's degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
- 5 to 7 years experience in leading large scale programs, working closely with startups, or building cutting-edge organizations, drawn equally from either Scale-Up style venture acceleration work or Krishi Innovation Program style rural field implementation work.
- Prior experience specifically in agriculture or agri tech
- Deep understanding of agritech, spanning precision farming, post harvest technology, and supply chain innovation, with demonstrated ability to execute on that understanding, not just analyze it.
- A track record of leading large scale, multi stakeholder field implementation projects from inception through to measurable impact and reporting.
- Genuine engagement with both the startup and innovation ecosystem in India and the agricultural and rural development ecosystem in India.
- Strong numerical and financial acumen, with the ability to draw statistical conclusions from data to inform decisions.
- Strong cross functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work fluidly across finance, communications, and other MIF program teams without needing a formal reporting line.
