Job purpose:

The Configuration Application Support Engineer is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and supporting applications in line with documented business and scheme requirements. The role focuses on day-to-day application support, incident resolution, and configuration changes that ensure the platform remains stable, accurate, and available for business users. Working closely with business analysts, developers, and operational teams, the role ensures that changes are implemented correctly, issues are investigated and resolved using data and log analysis, and users receive clear communication and support.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide day-to-day application support for systems, including investigation and resolution of incidents and service requests. Perform configuration activities within the application to implement approved changes in line with documented requirements and scheme rules. Use SQL queries, logs, and monitoring tools to investigate issues, perform data checks, and validate configuration changes. Work closely with business analysts and product owners to understand intended system behaviour and clarify requirements where needed. Collaborate with developers and testers to support fixes, enhancements, and release activities into test and production environments. Document configuration changes, known issues, and workarounds in appropriate repositories (e.g. Confluence, knowledge base, ticketing tools). Monitor system health, alerts, and performance using available monitoring tools,



escalating issues appropriately. Support root-cause analysis of recurring incidents and contribute to preventative actions and continuous improvement. Communicate clearly with users and stakeholders on incident progress, impact, and resolution, ensuring expectations are managed. Adhere to SDLC, change management, and security controls when implementing configuration or supporting deployments.

Must have:

- Solid understanding of application architecture fundamentals and how configuration affects system behaviour. Hands-on experience with SQL for data investigation, lookups, and validation. Experience using monitoring and logging tools to support incident analysis. Solid problem-solving skills, including root-cause and incident analysis. Explicit written and verbal communication skills for interacting with users and technical teams. Experience working with collaboration and ticketing tools (e.g. Teams, email, service desk or incident management tools). Nice to have: Exposure to Jira and Confluence for documenting requirements and changes. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum ways of working and SDLC concepts. Basic understanding of business analysis, requirements gathering, and process mapping. Awareness of data modelling and relational database concepts. Experience with web applications, APIs, and cloud-based platforms.

Pay: ₹700,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
