& Key Responsibilities To prepare the food in the respective kitchen as required by the guests, as guided by the chef in charge, including station maintenance and basic cooking tasks.
- Mise en Place (Preparation): Washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting fruits, vegetables, and meats before service. Measuring ingredients and making basic stocks, sauces, or dressings.
- Inventory and Deliveries: Unpacking food deliveries, checking product quality, rotating stock using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method, and throwing away expired items.
- Cleaning and Hygiene: Keeping work areas, knives, and equipment clean and sanitary to meet food safety standards.
