The Area Cluster Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple projects within a geographic cluster, ensuring delivery in terms of time, cost, quality, and safety, while coordinating across contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
Role & responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end execution of multiple construction projects (Civil, PEB, MEP, FPS/FAS).
- Ensure adherence to project schedules (MSP), baselines, and milestone tracking.
- Drive weekly/monthly progress reviews, MIS reporting, and dashboard monitoring.
- Monitor schedule performance, delay analysis, and implement recovery plans.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams to eliminate interface clashes.
- Ensure to support compliance with QA/QC standards, EHS norms, and statutory approvals (Fire NOC, etc.).
- Review and approve
- Contractor bills and certifications
- Resource deployment plans (manpower, machinery)
- Lead risk identification, mitigation planning, and escalation management.
- Maintain stakeholder alignment with clients, consultants, and contractors (e.g., EPC vendors).
- Support project planning, budgeting, and cost control across cluster.
Preferred candidate profile
- Graduate in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification in Construction/Project Management will be an added advantage.
- 14 to 16+ years of experience in construction/project management, preferably in EPC, industrial, warehouse, commercial, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in managing multiple projects/sites simultaneously with end-to-end execution responsibility.
- Strong expertise in MS Project, project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, delay analysis, and recovery planning.
- Strong understanding of the EPC lifecycle Design, Procurement and Execution.
- Hands-on experience coordinating Civil, PEB, MEP, FPS/FAS and other project interfaces.
- Demonstrated ability to manage Project Managers, Site Teams, Contractors, Consultants and EPC vendors.
- Strong skills in stakeholder management, leadership, decision-making, problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Good understanding of project controls, cost management, quality, EHS and statutory compliance.
- Robust capability in MIS reporting, dashboard monitoring, risk management and escalation management.
- Should be willing to travel across project sites within the assigned geographic cluster.
- Candidates with strong multi-site construction leadership and project delivery experience will be preferred.
