JOB PROFILE:

We are seeking a skilled IoT Engineer to design, develop, and integrate IIoT solutions for power,

renewable energy, SCADA, telemetry, and energy management applications. The role involves full-

stack development, mobile applications, industrial protocols, field-device integration, cloud and edge systems, and real-time data platforms. Experience with AI-assisted coding agents, protocol troubleshooting, MQTT, BLE, Python,



and hardware validation is highly valued, along with strong documentation, testing, and problem-solving skills.

Reports to: Senior IOT Engineer

Location: Full Time On-Site, Howrah

Must have

- Node.js and JavaScript, with Express REST APIs in production
- React — hooks, routing, state management, a component library such as MUI
- Kotlin and Android, ideally Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose; iOS/Swift exposure
- MongoDB and Mongoose — schema design, queries, indexes
- TypeScript — or clear readiness to move to it; new work is TS-first
- Git, code review, and writing tests that mean something
- Comfort reading a protocol spec and a message dump side by side, and trusting the dump
- Clear written English — our projects run on written specs, plans and open-item registers

Strong plus

- MQTT (Mosquitto, MQTT 5, QoS, retained messages) or similar pub/sub messaging
- Bluetooth Low Energy — GATT services, characteristics, MTU, notifications, connection lifecycle
- Python for tooling, test harnesses and simulators
- Industrial protocols and hardware — Modbus RTU, RS-485, XBee, IEDs, inverters, energy meters, weather sensors
- SQLite and query builders such as Kysely
- SCADA, energy or utility domain experience
- Bash scripting, CLI tools and git hooks
- Building MCP servers or other API integrations in Python

Agentic coding — required We work with AI coding agents daily,



mainly Claude Code, and it is part of the job rather than a side experiment.

You should be able to:

- Drive an agent through real work — multi-file changes, refactors, debugging against live hardware — not just

autocomplete
- Write and maintain the context that agents run on: project specs, plans, open-item registers

CLAUDE.md/AGENTS.md files, and reusable skills
- Set up guardrails — hooks, gated workflows, permission settings — so an agent's output stays reviewable and safe
- Review agent output critically. You own every line that lands, and you are expected to catch the confident-but-wrong

answer. This matters more than speed
- Know when not to use one: hardware bring-up, protocol reverse-engineering and judgment calls still need a human at

the bench Prior experience with Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or similar is expected. Tell us about a non-trivial piece of work you shipped this way, including what the agent got wrong.

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or related

Engineering field.

 Minimum Exp. 3-4 years

 Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

 Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

 Good communication and documentation abilities.

 Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
