Key Responsibilities

L1 CCTV Support Engineer

- Monitor CCTV systems and ensure cameras are operational.
- Perform first-level troubleshooting for CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR and VMS.

- Troubleshoot issues such as

- Camera offline/not reachable

- No video/display

- Video quality issues

- Recording failure

- Camera connectivity issues
- Power-related issues
- Check camera connectivity using ping and basic network troubleshooting.
- Perform basic configuration of IP cameras, NVR/DVR and VMS.
- Monitor recording status and storage availability.
- Create and update incidents/tickets in the ITSM tool.
- Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 or vendors.
- Coordinate with field engineers for physical CCTV-related issues.
- Maintain daily monitoring and incident reports.
- Follow defined SLA and escalation procedures.

L2 CCTV Support Engineer
- Provide second-level technical support for CCTV surveillance infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to IP cameras, NVR/DVR, VMS and network connectivity.
- Configure and troubleshoot IP cameras, NVRs and VMS platforms.
- Perform camera replacement, addition/deletion and configuration.
- Troubleshoot IP addressing, VLAN, PoE, switches and network connectivity related to CCTV.
- Analyze camera, NVR and VMS logs for troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot recording,



playback, storage and retention issues.
- Manage user access and permissions within VMS.
- Support CCTV system upgrades, migrations and expansions.
- Coordinate with OEMs/vendors for hardware and software issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance and health checks.
- Prepare incident/RCA reports for recurring or major issues.
- Guide L1 engineers on troubleshooting and operational procedures.
