Responsible for inspecting, sorting, and finishing garments and household linens. The role centers on high-quality steam press finishing, operating commercial dry cleaning and pressing equipment, handling delicate fabrics, and packaging items to deliver crisp, wrinkle-free garments that meet quality and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

Steam Pressing & Ironing: Operate commercial utility presses, form finishers, vacuum ironing tables, and hand-held industrial steam irons on formal wear, shirts, trousers, suits, and delicate fabrics.

Inspection & Sorting: Check incoming garments for fabric type, care label symbols, pre-existing damage (tears, missing buttons), and stains before processing.

Pre-Treatment & Dry Cleaning Support: Identify common stains (oil, ink, sweat)



and apply appropriate spotting chemicals; load and operate commercial washer-extractors or dry cleaning machinery according to fabric specifications.

Finishing & Packaging: Inspect processed items for remaining creases or lint, attach buttons/tags if required, and neatly fold or hang garments in protective poly bags.

Equipment Care & Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on steam boilers, press pads, iron shoes, and vacuum tables (e.g., blowing down boilers, cleaning iron soles, draining water traps).

Safety & Workplace Standards: Follow health and safety guidelines regarding heat, steam pressure, ventilation, and chemical handling.
