Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Billing Engineer with 5–8 years of experience in building and construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project billing, quantity measurement, BOQ management, contractor/subcontractor billing, rate analysis, reconciliation, variation management, and cost control.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in residential, commercial, high-rise, or large-scale building projects and be capable of independently handling client and subcontractor billing activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and submit Client RA Bills, Running Bills and Final Bills as per contract terms.
- Prepare, verify and certify subcontractor/contractor bills based on actual work executed.
- Conduct site measurements and verify quantities against BOQ, approved drawings and specifications.
- Prepare measurement sheets, quantity abstracts and billing statements.
- Prepare and review BOQ, quantity take-offs and rate analysis.
- Check executed quantities against sanctioned BOQ and identify variations, deviations and extra items.
- Prepare variation statements and support approval/settlement of extra items.
- Carry out material reconciliation for steel, cement, RMC and other major construction materials.
- Verify contractor bills against work orders, approved rates, measurements and contract conditions.
- Coordinate with Site Execution, Planning, Procurement, QS, Accounts, Consultants and Clients for timely bill certification.
- Maintain billing trackers, measurement records, work completion certificates and supporting documents.
- Monitor billed quantity vs. executed quantity and highlight discrepancies.




- Assist in project-level cost monitoring and cost control.
- Prepare weekly/monthly billing MIS and management reports.
- Track bill submission, certification, deductions, retention and payment status.
- Assist in preparation and settlement of final accounts and contractor claims.
- Ensure all billing activities comply with contract conditions, approved drawings, specifications and company procedures.
- Resolve billing and measurement discrepancies with contractors, consultants and client representatives.

Technical Skills

- Solid knowledge of Civil Construction Billing & Quantity Surveying.
- Expertise in BOQ preparation and verification.
- Good knowledge of Rate Analysis, Estimation and Costing.
- Strong understanding of RCC, structural, masonry and finishing works.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Knowledge of quantity take-off and measurement procedures.
- Experience in Client Billing and Subcontractor Billing.
- Knowledge of material and quantity reconciliation.
- Understanding of contract conditions, work orders and variation claims.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of ERP/SAP or construction billing software will be an advantage.

Qualification & Experience

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in building/construction projects.
- Candidates with experience in residential, commercial, high-rise or real-estate construction will be preferred.
- Experience in handling both client and subcontractor billing is preferred.
