This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AV Design Engineer based in India.

This is an exciting opportunity for an AV Design Engineer to shape innovative audiovisual solutions across complex technology environments.

You will design and engineer end-to-end AV systems spanning audio, video, conferencing, control, digital signage, and sound reinforcement.

The role combines technical design, solution architecture, emerging technology evaluation, and hands-on engineering support.

You will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, IT teams, vendors, clients, and installation teams to bring solutions from concept through commissioning.

Your expertise will directly influence system reliability, usability, scalability, and the overall user experience.

This is a fully remote position, with candidates required to reside in India.

Accountabilities

- Develop complete AV system designs, including signal flow diagrams, rack elevations, device specifications, system schematics, and network topologies.
- Create detailed engineering drawings using tools such as Visio and D-Tools.
- Define functional and technical requirements for audio, video, conferencing, control, digital signage, sound reinforcement, and other AV systems.
- Ensure solutions follow relevant industry standards and best practices, including AVIXA, SMPTE, AES, and IT networking principles.
- Research emerging audiovisual technologies and assess their suitability for different project requirements.

- Recommend hardware and software solutions that enhance reliability, maintainability, performance, and user experience.
- Conduct proof-of-concept testing for new equipment, technologies, and system architectures.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, IT teams, vendors,



and other stakeholders to align AV designs with broader project objectives.

- Participate in client discussions to understand requirements, communicate technical concepts, and present solution options.
- Provide engineering guidance throughout construction, installation, configuration, and testing.
- Produce comprehensive design documentation, including bills of materials, installation guidelines, control system requirements, acoustic considerations, and technical schematics.

- Support commissioning teams with system tuning, troubleshooting, optimization, and technical problem-solving.
- Verify that completed systems meet expected standards for performance, usability, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

- 3+ years of professional experience in AV system design, room integration, and/or AV project management.
- Advanced knowledge of AV system functionality, integration, programming concepts, and engineering techniques.
- Strong technical expertise in video networks, Video over IP, network switching, digital signal processors (DSPs), audio distribution, and control processors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, project management software, and CAD/design tools.
- Experience creating and interpreting technical drawings, system documentation, and engineering deliverables.

- Ability to understand and work with architectural drawings, engineering documents, construction documentation, project timelines, and acoustical reports.
- AVIXA CTS certification is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities, with a logical and practical approach to system deployment.

- Ability to manage priorities effectively, remain agile under pressure,



and maintain strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer-service mindset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams.

- Candidates must reside in India and be comfortable working remotely.
