Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, port and optimize audio signal-processing algorithms and libraries.
- Perform assembly/intrinsic-level optimization for DSP processors.
- Design and execute white-box test cases for audio and signal-processing algorithms.
- Prepare test strategies, test designs, test plans and detailed test reports.
- Analyze audio algorithms using source code, block diagrams and signal-processing concepts.
- Perform debugging, profiling and performance optimization using DSP development environments.
- Execute testing using DSP simulators and evaluation boards.
- Perform cross-compilation and hardware testing on ADSP/DSP evaluation boards.
- Support static analysis and verification activities using relevant tools.
- Work with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve software and algorithm-related issues.
- Maintain and enhance software components based on project and client requirements.
Technical Requirements
- Strong programming skills in C or C++.
- Positive understanding of Digital Audio and Signal Processing.
- Experience with audio processing / audio codec libraries / signal-processing libraries.
- Hands-on experience in test design,
test planning and white-box testing.
- Experience with Linux commands and Makefiles.
- Valuable understanding of DSP concepts and development workflows.
Preferred DSP Experience
Priority 1 - ADSP / ARM / DSP Processors
- Experience in code porting and optimization on ADSP-SHARC or other DSP/ARM processors.
- Hands-on experience with DSP intrinsics and assembly programming.
- Debugging and profiling using tools such as VisualDSP++, CCES, DS-5, or similar DSP IDEs.
Priority 2 - Tensilica HiFi
- Experience optimizing code for Tensilica HiFi processors.
- Hands-on experience with Tensilica HiFi intrinsics.
- Debugging and profiling using Xtensa IDE.
Testing & Validation
- Experience using DSP simulators such as ADSP-CCES, Xtensa IDE, or equivalent.
- Ability to derive test cases from audio/signal-processing algorithms.
- Experience with white-box testing, static analysis and verification.
- Experience preparing detailed test reports and validating algorithm execution.
- Exposure to cross-compilation and testing on DSP evaluation boards.
