Role Description The Assistant Manager role at ZChem is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai.

The Assistant

Manager will support daily operations, including coordinating production or service activities, monitoring workflow, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. This role involves supervising team members, providing guidance on processes, and assisting in scheduling, resource allocation, and problem resolution.

Manager will help manage customer orders, prepare reports, and support communication between the Chennai site, the manufacturing facility, and other regional teams. The position also includes assisting with process improvements,



maintaining documentation, and contributing to the efficient execution of NDT-related projects and services.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong operational and organizational skills, including experience coordinating day-to-day activities, managing schedules, and maintaining process documentation.
- Candidates should possess people management and communication skills, such as team supervision, performance monitoring, conflict resolution, and clear written and verbal communication.
- Candidates should possess customer service and relationship management skills, including handling inquiries, managing orders, and supporting long-term client partnerships.
- Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, prepare reports, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Candidates should possess basic knowledge of manufacturing or industrial operations; exposure to NDT (LPI/MPI) or related technical fields will be an advantage.
- Relevant academic qualifications, such as a bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, science, business administration, or a related discipline, are preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and adapt to a continuous improvement culture.
