Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager Maintenance to manage the overall maintenance activities at our Santej manufacturing plant. The candidate should have strong hands-on knowledge of both Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance and the ability to effectively manage and guide technicians.

The role will be responsible for ensuring maximum machine availability, preventive maintenance, breakdown management, technician supervision, and safe & reliable plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Maintenance

- Manage preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues involving pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, valves, couplings, shafts and other rotating equipment.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
- Coordinate machinery installation, modification, and commissioning activities.

Electrical Maintenance
- Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of motors, electrical panels, starters, contactors, sensors, cables, control circuits and plant electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure quick restoration of equipment.
- Coordinate with technicians for electrical maintenance and shutdown activities.

Team & Technician Management
- Lead and supervise maintenance technicians, fitters and electricians.




- Allocate daily maintenance jobs and monitor completion.
- Train and guide technicians on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and safe working practices.
- Monitor technician performance and ensure effective manpower utilization.

Plant Reliability & Maintenance Planning
- Ensure optimum machine availability and reliability to support production requirements.
- Analyze breakdowns and recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Plan preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with Production to prioritize critical maintenance requirements.

Spare Parts & Maintenance Documentation
- Monitor critical maintenance spares and coordinate with Stores/Purchase for timely availability.
- Maintain breakdown history, preventive maintenance records, checklists, and maintenance reports.
- Track maintenance KPIs such as downtime, MTBF, MTTR, and machine availability.

Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to EHS, LOTO, PTW and electrical/mechanical safety procedures.
- Conduct maintenance activities with proper safety precautions.
- Promote 5S and positive housekeeping within the maintenance area.
