Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Assembly Engineer with hands-on experience in wiring harness manufacturing and electrical assembly. The candidate will be responsible for assembly process development, production support, quality improvement, troubleshooting, and ensuring wiring harnesses are manufactured according to engineering drawings and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and improve electrical assembly and wiring harness manufacturing processes.
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, assembly drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Prepare and maintain work instructions, process sheets, assembly standards, and SOPs.
- Support cutting, stripping, crimping, terminal insertion, connector assembly, routing, taping, sleeving, and testing operations.
- Ensure correct selection and application of wires, terminals, connectors, seals, clips, sleeves, and other harness components.
- Establish and monitor crimping parameters and support crimp quality checks.
- Conduct first-piece inspection and process validation for new harness assemblies.
- Troubleshoot electrical and assembly-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support production teams in resolving daily assembly and quality problems.
- Work closely with Design, Quality, Production, Purchase, and Maintenance teams.
- Identify opportunities for reducing cycle time, material wastage, rework, and assembly cost.
- Support current product introduction (NPI), prototype builds, engineering changes, and process trials.




- Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and customer specifications.
- Participate in root-cause analysis using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, and 8D.
- Maintain process documentation and ensure proper revision control.

Required Skills

- Hands-on experience in wiring harness and cable assembly.
- Good knowledge of electrical and wiring harness components.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs.
- Knowledge of crimping, stripping, cutting, terminal insertion, connector assembly, and harness testing.
- Familiarity with electrical continuity and high-voltage/insulation testing as applicable.
- Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes and quality control.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office; CAD knowledge is an advantage.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in automotive, EV, industrial, aerospace, or electrical equipment wiring harnesses.
- Experience with harness testing machines and crimping machines.
- Knowledge of crimp force monitoring and terminal/crimp quality standards.
- Experience with PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow, and work instruction preparation.
- Experience in handling engineering changes and new product development.

Education Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Electrical & Electronics, or related engineering discipline.
