About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Pulses Sales Manager to develop and grow our business in red lentils, green lentils, yellow peas and other imported pulses.

The candidate will be responsible for identifying buyers, developing recent customers, maintaining existing relationships, negotiating prices and closing B2B sales with pulse mills, wholesalers, traders, food manufacturers and other institutional buyers.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and execute sales strategies for red lentils, green lentils, yellow peas and other pulses.

* Identify and acquire recent B2B customers across India.

* Build solid relationships with:

* Pulse mills and dal processors

* Commodity traders

* Wholesalers and distributors

* Food manufacturers

* Institutional buyers

* Large retail/private-label companies

* Generate regular enquiries and convert them into confirmed orders.

* Negotiate selling prices, payment terms, quantity and delivery schedules.

* Monitor daily/weekly market prices and competitor activity.





* Understand customer requirements regarding origin, quality, grade, packing and specifications.

* Coordinate with procurement/import/logistics teams to ensure timely supply to customers.

* Maintain a solid sales pipeline and achieve monthly and annual sales targets.

* Track receivables and coordinate with customers for timely payments.

* Develop customers for both spot sales and regular contract business.

* Travel to major pulse-trading markets and customer locations when required.

* Maintain accurate records of enquiries, quotations, orders, customers and sales performance.

* Provide regular reports on market conditions, customer demand and competitor pricing.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have:

* 38 years of experience in pulses / agri-commodity / food ingredient sales.

* Strong understanding of the Indian pulses market.
