Role Overview:

As the Lead Full Stack Engineer for our new Insight team, you will pioneer an AI-First engineering culture from the ground up. We are building a team that goes beyond traditional development; we treat generative AI as a core partner in our creative process. You will be the visionary and principal practitioner who guides the team in this current paradigm of "vibe coding." You will lead the technical strategy for a new business-critical platform, but more importantly, you will mentor the team on how to leverage advanced AI tools to achieve unprecedented development velocity and creativity.

You will be the Engineering Manager's key technical partner in building not just a product, but the future of how we build software.

Key Responsibilities:

- Pioneer an AI-First Development Culture: You will champion, teach, and define the team's "AI-First" workflow, moving beyond simple autocompletion to using generative AI for full-scale prototyping, test driven development, and complex logic scaffolding.
- Own the Technical Vision and Architecture: Drive the technical strategy for the Discounts platform, making key architectural decisions that are both technically sound and optimized for an AI-assisted development process.
- Lead by Example with AI-Native Coding: Write exemplary code, demonstrating mastery in using conversational models and AI-integrated environments to solve complex problems faster and more creatively.
- Mentor in the Art of AI-Powered Engineering: Formally mentor the team's engineers on prompt engineering, iterative generation with tools like Claude/Cursor, and how to effectively partner with AI throughout the entire software lifecycle.




- Act as the EM's Technical Partner: Serve as the right-hand technical partner to the Engineering Manager, de-risking projects and ensuring the engineering plan is sound and ambitious.

Required Skills:

- Proven Technical Leadership: 9 - 11 years experience from web development, using Java/Kotlin and javascript technologies.
- Expertise in AI-Native Development: You are a power-user of advanced generative AI tools like Claude, Cursor, or Codex. You don't just use AI for completion; you use it as a creative partner for rapid prototyping, complex refactoring, and generating robust test suites.
- Architectural Depth: Proven experience designing and building scalable, distributed systems using a microservices architecture.
- Knowledge in Agile development principles, like Scrum, Kanban or Continuous integration.
- Good knowledge in Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, React, RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL.
- Good knowledge in front-end web development.
- Knowledge in Cloud Platform Services, Microservices architecture and Containers.
- Bachelors degree in computer engineering or any relevant.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in working with CI/CD and DevOps.
- Experience in working with Atlassian Suite (Jira and Confluence).
- Experience in working with Git.
- Experience in test automation.
