Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an API professional at PPStack. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable APIs that power PPStack’s AI-driven learning platforms, career services, and digital solutions.

Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with product, data, and engineering teams to define API requirements, implementing integrations with third-party services, and optimizing performance and reliability across microservices and backend systems. The API professional will create and maintain technical documentation, support testing and deployment processes,



and ensure adherence to best practices in security, versioning, and monitoring. The role also includes troubleshooting production issues, contributing to architectural decisions, and continuously improving the API ecosystem to support new features and services.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in designing and developing RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, including authentication, authorization, and versioning.
- Experience with backend programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java, .NET) and API-related libraries or tools.
- Knowledge of databases and data models, working with SQL/NoSQL systems and integrating APIs with data layers.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and DevOps practices (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines) relevant to API deployment and scaling.
- Familiarity with API gateways, rate limiting, monitoring, logging, and performance optimization.
- Understanding of security best practices for APIs, including encryption, token-based authentication, and compliance with data protection standards.
- Ability to write clear technical documentation and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in EdTech, learning platforms, or AI-driven products is a plus.
- Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to building reliable, user-centered solutions.
