Job Summary The Analyst II, GPD Contact Research researches, validates, and maintains professional contact and people data used across Dun & Bradstreet products. The role applies approved research standards and authoritative open sources to confirm professional identities, current job roles, company affiliations, and contact attributes. The analyst documents evidence, resolves data discrepancies, and escalates complex or high-risk cases to help deliver accurate, current, compliant, and defensible Global People Data.
Responsibilities
- Conduct structured web and open-source research to identify and validate skilled contacts, including name, job title, company affiliation, business email, business telephone, and source URL.
- Confirm that contacts are associated with the correct business and D-U-N-S record using approved sources and established matching rules.
- Assess whether professional roles and contact details are current, complete, and supported by reliable evidence.
- Create, update, invalidate, or route contact records in accordance with GPD research guidelines, privacy requirements, and data governance standards.
- Document sources, research rationale, and disposition clearly so that decisions are traceable and audit-defensible.
- Reconcile conflicting information across company websites, professional directories, regulatory sources, and other approved sources.
- Complete assigned research queues within agreed service levels while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
- Perform self-quality checks and respond promptly to feedback from Quality Control, Audit, Operations, or business stakeholders.
- Escalate ambiguous,
sensitive, or high-risk cases and identify recurring source or process issues.
- Contribute to calibration sessions, knowledge sharing, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in online research, data operations, data validation, investigations, or a related field.
- Practical experience using open-source research techniques and evaluating the credibility of online sources.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to apply written standards consistently across high-volume work.
- Ability to distinguish between current and historical professional information and resolve conflicting evidence.
- Clear written communication and disciplined research documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet quality and turnaround expectations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; experience with research workflow, data stewardship, CRM, or case-management platforms is beneficial.
- Fluency in English; additional language capability relevant to supported markets is an advantage.
