Position: Assistant Manager Plant HR Operations

Location: Chandigarh

Preferred Candidate Location: Tricity (Chandigarh, Mohali & Panchkula)

Experience: 8 to 12 years

Industry Preference: Manufacturing / Automotive / Industrial Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

Statutory Compliance & Labor Laws

- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and statutory regulations.
- Maintain statutory records and support inspections and compliance audits.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely statutory submissions.
- Support employee relations and maintain harmonious industrial relations within the plant.

Employee Engagement

- Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives, cultural events, recognition programs, and wellness activities.
- Drive employee satisfaction and promote a positive work culture.
- Support employee communication initiatives and enhance workforce engagement.
- Act as the first point of contact for employee grievances and resolve day-to-day HR concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Foster healthy employee relations and contribute to a collaborative workplace environment.

HR Operations

- Manage end-to-end HR operations for the plant.
- Oversee the complete employee lifecycle, including onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and separation.
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation.
- Prepare and maintain HR MIS reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics.
- Ensure timely updating and maintenance of employee information in the HRMS.
- Support HR audits and maintain process compliance.

Learning & Development

- Identify training needs in coordination with departmental managers.
- Coordinate and administer technical, behavioral, statutory, and leadership training programs.
- Facilitate employee induction and orientation programs for current hires.
- Maintain training calendars, attendance records, and learning effectiveness reports.
- Support competency development, skill enhancement, and continuous learning initiatives across the plant.





HR Systems & Data Management

- Hands-on experience with Darwinbox HRMS is mandatory.
- Maintain employee master data and HR records with complete accuracy.
- Generate HR reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
- Ensure confidentiality and integrity of employee information.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent preferred.

Experience

- Minimum 8 - 10 years of relevant experience in Plant HR Operations within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in automotive, EV, engineering, or industrial manufacturing will be preferred.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of labor laws, statutory compliance, and HR operations.
- Hands-on experience with Darwinbox HRMS.
- Expertise in talent acquisition, interviewing, onboarding, and induction.
- Experience in employee engagement and Learning & Development initiatives.
- Strong HR operations, documentation, and employee records management.
- Proficiency in MIS reporting, HR analytics, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and organizational abilities.
