Job Overview:

We are looking for an Accountant who will serve as the financial backbone for a US-based home health services S-corp located in Texas. The position requires an independent accounting qualified to take full ownership of end-to-end bookkeeping, month-end closes, SurePayroll-adjacent tracking, S-corp tax filings, and specialized quarterly Medicare cost reporting to keep the business fully compliant and audit-ready.

Schedule: Remote, Part Time | Flexible during CST Business hours (Texas).

Responsibilities:

- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes end-to-end
- Prepare and submit quarterly Medicare cost reports in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Execute month-end close procedures and maintain audit-ready financial records
- Prepare business tax filings and support S corp tax compliance
- Track revenue and expenses and produce financial statements and budget reports

Requirements:

- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably within a small business environment
- Familiarity with SurePayroll and general accounting platforms




- Understanding of S corp tax obligations and financial reporting standards
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
