We are #hiring for a Philanthropic Initiative of a Foundation - Palliative Care!
Lead the overall development of a 75-bed palliative-care institution with extended homecare services, translating the Foundation's vision into a high-quality, compassionate and sustainable institution.
- Lead the institution's overall strategy, operations, culture and organisational development. - Translate the Foundation's vision into clear organisational priorities and execution. - Build a culture rooted in compassion, dignity, humility, integrity, accountability and excellence. - Partner with senior clinical consultants to strengthen clinical governance, patient safety, quality and multidisciplinary care while respecting clinical autonomy. - Recruit, develop, mentor and retain high-performing multidisciplinary teams. - Build leadership capability, performance management and learning systems across the organisation. - Establish robust operational systems, dashboards, governance mechanisms, compliance and risk-management processes. - Lead budgeting, financial planning, resource allocation and long-term organisational sustainability. - Develop strategic partnerships with hospitals, academia, government, philanthropy and other ecosystem stakeholders. - Support the development of training, research, volunteering, outreach and community-based initiatives. - Champion continuous improvement, innovation and evidence-informed practice. - Ensure patient and family feedback and organisational outcomes inform service improvement. - Represent the institution externally and build trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
- Drive the development of the institution into a nationally respected centre for palliative care.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a doctor/healthcare leader and institution builder who is motivated by building a mission-driven healthcare institution rather than simply managing an established hospital.
Solid preference for candidates with experience in one or more of the following:
- Community Medicine / Public Health - Palliative Medicine / Palliative Care - General Medicine / Family Medicine - Oncology with palliative-care exposure - Medical Superintendent / Medical Director / Hospital Director / Clinical Director roles - Mission hospitals / charitable healthcare / NGOs - Community health and home-based care - Academic / teaching and mentoring environments
Formal Palliative Medicine qualification is not mandatory where the candidate has meaningful palliative-care exposure and demonstrates the willingness to deeply understand and embrace the philosophy of care beyond cure.
