Main work
Receive, identify, label and properly store food samples.
Prepare food samples for laboratory analysis.
Perform chemical testing of food samples according to applicable FSSAI, IS and ISO methods.
Carry out routine laboratory calculations and record observations/results.
Operate laboratory instruments and equipment.
Maintain proper worksheets, registers and test records.
Follow NABL / ISO 17025 laboratory procedures.
Perform basic quality-control checks.
Help with instrument calibration and maintenance.
Follow laboratory safety, hygiene and Positive Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Assist senior chemists in method validation and other testing activities.
Prepare/assist with test reports after completing analysis.
