Roles and Responsibilities :
Perform brake NVH work, including model preparation, CEA analysis for moan/squeal, and force to body transmissibility.
Conduct NVH/Durability simulations for disc and drum brakes using Abaqus or Nastran.
Identify root causes of undesired vibrations and suggest effective countermeasures for performance improvement.
Correlate simulation results with vehicle and dynamometer test data to ensure accuracy.
Collaborate with design and testing teams to develop cost-effective, optimal brake solutions.
Utilize advanced proficiency in Abaqus and Nastran for NVH and Durability analyses.
Job Requirements :
Advanced proficiency in Abaqus and Nastran for NVH and Durability analyses.
Solid understanding of brake fundamentals, materials science, and structural mechanics.
Expertise in Complex Eigenvalue Analysis (CEA) and force transfer path/transmissibility.
Knowledge of automotive brake system development, from virtual modeling to manufacturing constraints.
Ability to translate simulation data into actionable design recommendations for cross-functional teams.
Experience in CAE, Computer Aided Engineering, is desirable.
