Role & responsibilities
Identify and evaluate suitable suppliers and vendors based on quality, price, delivery, and reliability.
Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers.
Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely processing of procurement requirements.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Stores, Accounts, and other departments for procurement requirements.
Ensure materials and equipment are purchased as per approved specifications and project requirements.
Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
Monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, and pending procurement items.
Evaluate supplier performance and maintain an updated vendor database.
Verify technical and commercial aspects of quotations in coordination with relevant departments.
Assist in identifying cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities.
Ensure proper documentation of purchase orders,



quotations, invoices, and related records.
Resolve issues related to material shortages, quality, delivery, and supplier performance.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
Prepare regular procurement status reports for management.

Preferred candidate profile
Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or relevant Engineering discipline.
Relevant experience in purchase/procurement, preferably in the construction, MEP, engineering, or infrastructure industry.
Positive knowledge of materials, equipment, specifications, and vendor management.
Robust negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
Positive knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements and meet deadlines.
