Role & responsibilities
Develop and modify CNC programs using MasterCAM for Turning and Milling operations.
Create, edit and validate G-Code / CNC programs based on engineering drawings and manufacturing requirements.
Take CNC Turning programming as the primary responsibility, including complex and precision components.
Develop CNC Milling programs as required for 3-axis and multi-axis machining.
Interpret and work from 2D drawings, 3D models, GD&T; and machining specifications.
Select appropriate cutting tools, tooling parameters, feeds and speeds.
Perform toolpath generation, simulation and collision checking using MasterCAM.
Optimize programs to improve cycle time, tool life, surface finish and machining accuracy.
Modify existing CNC programs at the machine/controller level when required.
Troubleshoot machining and programming issues and provide corrective solutions.
Work closely with CNC Operators,
Production, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
Ensure programs meet required dimensional accuracy, tolerances and quality standards.
Support first-off/component prove-out and resolve machining issues.
Maintain CNC programs, tooling information and relevant manufacturing documentation.
Follow applicable precision manufacturing, aerospace/defense quality and safety standards.
Knowledge of 3-axis / 4-axis / 5-axis milling will be an advantage.
Process planning sheet creation is required.
B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool & Die Making or related discipline.
Immediate Joiners / Candidates with Short Notice Period are required.
