Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL.
Develop and maintain JCL for application execution, batch processing, and job scheduling.
Develop and support CICS online transaction processing applications.
Work extensively with DB2 for SQL development, data access, and database-related troubleshooting.
Read, understand, debug, and maintain existing Assembler/HLASM programs and components.
Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform coding, unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and production support.
Analyze application failures, abends, performance issues, and production incidents.
Work with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, infrastructure, and production support teams.




Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development and quality standards.
Prepare technical documentation and support application releases and deployments.
Troubleshoot complex issues across COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, and Assembler components.

Required Technical Skills
Solid hands-on experience with COBOL
Strong experience with JCL
Strong experience with CICS
Strong experience with DB2
Working experience with Assembler / HLASM
Valuable understanding of IBM z/OS mainframe setting
Experience with mainframe batch and online processing
Strong knowledge of SQL
Experience with debugging, abend analysis, and production support
Understanding of mainframe development and SDLC processes
