Role: Senior Android Applications Engineer

Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Android Engineer to join a high-impact mobile engineering team responsible for building and enhancing a next-generation mobile application.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality native Android applications.
Own mobile features end-to-end, from technical design through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
Build scalable, reliable, secure, and high-performance mobile experiences.
Collaborate closely with iOS, backend, UX, Product Owners, Scrum Leads, QA, and onshore engineering teams.
Participate in technical design and architecture discussions.
Write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code.
Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to other engineers.
Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and production issues.
Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
Work effectively within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Required Skills:
8+ years of software engineering experience with solid hands-on Android development experience.




Strong expertise in Kotlin and modern Android development.
Strong knowledge of Android SDK and Android application architecture.
Experience with Jetpack, Jetpack Compose, and contemporary architecture patterns such as MVVM/MVI/Clean Architecture.
Experience integrating RESTful APIs and backend services.
Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, concurrency, and networking.
Experience with unit/UI testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
Understanding of mobile security, authentication, and secure API integration.
Experience with Git and CI/CD.
Strong Agile/Scrum experience.
Experience working with distributed/global engineering teams.

Preferred:
Experience building large-scale consumer mobile applications.
Experience in travel, transportation, hospitality, e-commerce, financial services, or other high-volume customer-facing applications.
Experience with cloud-based backend services and microservices.
Experience with mobile observability, crash analytics, and performance monitoring.
Experience in contributing to mobile architecture and technical strategy.
