Role & responsibilities
Carry out the inspections of electrical installations and should be recorded in field inspection report and submit to the mines manager with actions on the observations.
Planning, supervision and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment used in the mines.
Ensure the statutory compliances of electrical systems associated with crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, workshops, weighbridges, lighting and other mines electrical installations.
Monitor power consumption, specific energy consumption and equipment efficiency and identify prospects for energy saving.
Ensure proper operation and maintenance of HT/LT switchgear, cables, earthing and lightning protection systems under personal supervision certified electrical supervisor.
Ensure proper applicable permits & standard during maintenance/rectifications related to electrical safety in mines.
Ensure registers, records and returns as per statutory requirement DGMS and Indian Electricity Rules/Regulations.
