The Digital S/W Eng Lead Analyst is a strategic qualified who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of large-scale digital engineering programs, owning design decisions from the pre-planning phase through to implementation across cloud platforms including AWS and Akamai.
Chair design reviews for both agile and structured delivery projects, establishing reusable design patterns that are adopted across engineering teams and lines of business.
Conduct code reviews for next generation microservices architecture, ensuring solutions meet performance, scalability, and engineering quality standards.
Define and publish engineering metrics across design reviews, code reviews, CI/CD pipeline adoption, and pattern implementation to give stakeholders explicit visibility of quality and progress.
Mentor and coach software engineers, elevating technical capability across teams and embedding engineering best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Translate technical and business risks into explicit, actionable guidance for senior stakeholders, enabling informed decisions on delivery timelines, trade-offs, and constraints.
