Job Title: Senior SAP ABAP Consultant (S/4HANA Upgrade)
Location: Navi Mumbai (On-site / Hybrid model)
Duration: 6 Months Contract (with option to extend)

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP ABAP Consultant with robust expertise in S/4HANA migrations and technical upgrades. In this role, you will lead custom code remediation, performance optimization, and modern ABAP development on SAP S/4HANA. You will collaborate closely with functional consultants, BASIS teams, and project stakeholders to ensure a seamless transition and secure post-upgrade setting.

Key Responsibilities
Execute custom code analysis and remediation using SAP ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) and Custom Code Migration Worklist for S/4HANA readiness.
Design, develop, and optimize Core Data Services (CDS) views, AMDPs (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), and Advanced Business Application Programming for SAP HANA.
Build and maintain up-to-date SAP Fiori/UI5 extensions, OData services, and classic dialog/report programs as required by project scope.
Perform root-cause analysis on technical dumps, performance bottlenecks, and database locks post-migration.
Implement SAP notes, interface changes (IDoc/RFC/APIs),



and enhancement frameworks (BAdIs, Explicit/Implicit Enhancements).
Mentor junior technical team members and establish coding best practices aligned with clean core principles.

Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Minimum 8 to 10 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience, including at least 2 full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementation or system upgrade projects.
Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in OO ABAP, CDS Views, AMDP, RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) or ABAP Programming Model for SAP Fiori, and OData service creation.
Upgrade Expertise: Proven track record in handling ATC findings, syntax errors, database changes (field length extensions, table pooling/clustering elimination), and Unicode conversions.
Integration: Solid experience working with interfaces (IDocs, Proxies, REST/SOAP APIs, RFCs) in an S/4HANA ecosystem.
Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and client-facing communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and cloud-ready extensibility.
Certification in SAP S/4HANA ABAP Development.
