Role & responsibilities:

- Manage end-to-end recruitment for the Kolkata location, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection and onboarding.
- Coordinate with business/operations teams to understand manpower requirements and ensure timely closure of vacancies.
- Conduct joining formalities, documentation, induction and onboarding of new employees.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HRMS data and personnel files.
- Manage daily attendance, leave and employee database and provide accurate inputs for monthly payroll processing.
- Handle employee queries related to salary, attendance, leave, policies and other HR matters.
- Act as the first point of contact for employees and effectively manage employee grievances and workplace concerns.
- Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives at the location.
- Monitor employee lifecycle activities including confirmation, transfers, performance inputs and exit/Full & Final formalities.
- Ensure timely completion of HR documentation and support statutory compliance related activities such as PF, ESIC, labour welfare and applicable labour laws.




- Prepare and maintain regular HR MIS and reports related to headcount, hiring, attrition, attendance and other HR metrics.
- Coordinate with the central HR team for HR policies, processes, audits and compliance requirements.
- Support training, employee communication and other HR initiatives at the Kolkata location.
- Maintain a professional, positive and employee-friendly work setting.

Preferred candidate profile :

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in HR Generalist/HR Operations/HR Executive roles.
- Good knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, attendance, payroll inputs and HR operations.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and HRMS.
- Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple HR activities simultaneously.
- Candidates with experience handling blue-collar/frontline workforce will be preferred.
