ServiceNow Discovery SME

Location: New Delhi / Bangalore / Chennai
Experience: 46 Years

Key Responsibilities

- Configure and manage ServiceNow Discovery for on-premise and cloud environments.
- Configure discovery schedules, credentials, MID Servers, probes, sensors and patterns.
- Support horizontal and cloud discovery activities.
- Maintain accurate and reliable CMDB data.
- Monitor and improve CMDB health and data quality.
- Resolve CI duplication and identification issues using Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE).
- Support and enforce CSDM standards.
- Troubleshoot Discovery scanning failures, connectivity issues and MID Server bottlenecks.
- Optimize Discovery performance and resolve infrastructure discovery issues.
- Work with network, server, cloud and security teams to maintain accurate CI ownership.
- Support dependency mapping and Service Mapping activities.




- Work with AWS and Azure teams for cloud infrastructure discovery.
- Provide technical support for ITOM and ITSM processes.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery.
- Experience administering ServiceNow CMDB.
- Robust knowledge of MID Servers.
- Experience with Discovery schedules, credentials, probes, sensors and patterns.
- Knowledge of Service Mapping and dependency mapping.
- Experience with IRE and CMDB data reconciliation.
- Knowledge of CSDM and CMDB governance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Discovery and MID Server issues.
- Experience with AWS and Azure environments.
- Good understanding of Windows/Linux administration.
- Knowledge of networking protocols including SNMP, SSH, WMI and TCP/IP.

Certifications – Preferred

- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Discovery (CIS-Discovery)
- ITIL Foundation
