Senior SAP BW Consultant

Job Purpose

You will design and oversee the implementation of scalable and robust BW systems, integrating data from various sources to provide comprehensive insights. You will support the stability of our BW system landscapes to provide consistent data to our business and data services teams in a timely manner while providing technical leadership, and ensure high data quality and performance optimization, while fostering innovation and continuous improvement in BW towards achieving larger organizational objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Advanced Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Design and develop complex SAP Business Intelligence (BW) reports and dashboards to meet advanced business needs.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to uncover trends, insights, and business opportunities.
- Ensure the highest level of data accuracy and integrity in all BW solutions.
- Solution Designs and Maintenance:
- Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive SAP BW solutions.
- Customize and enhance existing BI solutions, ensuring they meet evolving business requirements.
- Provide advanced support for SAP BW applications, addressing complex issues and user requests.
- Research and Development:
- Stay updated with the latest technologies, industry trends and best practices.
- Continuously explore implements process improvements for optimization and to enhance efficiency.

Education and Technical skills:

- Technical or University Degree in computer science, software engineering or similar field
- 6-8 Years of experience with SAP BW4HANA/SAP BW on HANA and Development of HANA Calculation Views.




- Proven experience as an SAP BW/4HANA, with at least 6 years of experience in designing and implementing BW/4HANA solutions.

SAP BWHANA / BW4HANA:

- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, and best practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for SAP BWonHANA & BW/4 HANA solutions.
- Hands-on experience on SAP BWonHANA & BW/4 HANA end-to-end implementation, mixed data modeling with HANA Calculation Views and CDS Views.
- Provide guidance and support to development teams during the implementation of SAP BWonHANA & BW/4 HANA solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation for SAP BWonHANA & BW/4 HANA solutions, including technical specifications, data models, and system configurations.
- Stay current with SAP BWonHANA & BW/4 HANA best practices and new features to continuously improve our solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP BWonHANA & BW/4 HANA solutions.
- Good to have experience on SAP BWonHANA & BW/4 HANA authorization concepts.
- Must have experience on SAP BWonHANA & BW/4 HANA source systems - ECC and S/4HANA functional knowledge on SD, MM and FI.




- Develop integration strategies ensuring seamless data flow between SAP BWonHANA & BW/4 HANA and Azure services (such as Azure Data Lake etc.).
- Work closely with Azure Data Lake architects to align SAP BWonHANA & BW/4 HANA solutions with overall cloud architecture principles and best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive to have reporting solutions experience using Analysis for Office and SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Knowledge on SDI replication tasks.
- You are a pragmatic, proactive, agile, and independent team player.
- Good communication with peers, technical teams, and business representatives
- Advanced English language skills

SAP ABAP:

- Must have strong hands-on experience with ABAP and AMDP scripting to implement complex business requirements.
- Good understanding on CDS views, and how CDS views can be used as data source in BW.
- Capable of debugging and performing root cause analysis for dumps and runtime errors.

SAP ERP and S/4:

- Good functional understanding of SAP FI, SD, and MM modules.
- Able to identify and analyze backend tables and fields for both standard and custom transactions.
- Able to derive and execute relevant test cases in ERP/S4 systems and replicate corresponding tests in the BW environment.
- Preferably has conceptual knowledge of S/4HANA data structures, including new or alternative tables that replace obsolete tables and transactions in S/4.
