About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce AppExchange / ISV Developer to design, develop, package, and launch reusable Salesforce applications for multiple customers.

This is not a traditional Salesforce implementation or customization role. You will focus on building productized Salesforce solutions that customers can install, configure, and upgrade within their own Salesforce environments.

You will work closely with Business Analysts, Product Consultants, Integration Consultants, customers, and external technology vendors.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop reusable Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, Flow, Custom Objects, Custom Metadata, APIs, and Platform Events.
- Develop and maintain Salesforce Managed Packages, preferably using Second-Generation Managed Packaging (2GP).
- Manage namespaces, package versions, dependencies, upgrades, installation, and release processes.
- Build customer-friendly installation and configuration experiences, including setup wizards, authentication, field mapping, synchronization settings, and admin dashboards.
- Develop secure integrations between Salesforce and external SaaS platforms using REST APIs, Webhooks, OAuth 2.0, Named Credentials, External Credentials, and asynchronous Apex.
- Design solutions that can support multiple customers and Salesforce environments without customer-specific hardcoding.
- Support AppExchange publication and Salesforce Security Review preparation and remediation.
- Implement Salesforce security best practices, including CRUD/FLS, sharing, permission sets, secure authentication, and protection against common vulnerabilities.
- Develop unit tests and perform installation, integration, upgrade, and UAT testing.
- Work with Salesforce DX, Salesforce CLI, Git, CI/CD, scratch orgs, and modern release processes.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical documentation, including architecture, installation, configuration, API,



and troubleshooting guides.
- Use approved AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and GitHub Copilot to improve development, research, debugging, testing, and documentation efficiency.

Requirements

- 4-8+years of Salesforce development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Apex
- Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- SOQL / SOSL
- Salesforce Flow
- Salesforce APIs
- Custom Objects & Custom Metadata
- Permission Sets and Salesforce Security
- Asynchronous Apex
- Strong experience with REST API integration and OAuth 2.0.
- Experience with Salesforce DX, Salesforce CLI, Git, and modern development practices.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, security, testing, and deployment.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Robust problem-solving and communication skills.

Strongly Preferred

- Hands-on Salesforce AppExchange / ISV development experience.
- Experience building and distributing Managed Packages.
- Experience with Second-Generation Managed Packaging (2GP).
- Experience with AppExchange Security Review.
- Experience working for a Salesforce ISV, AppExchange vendor, or Salesforce product company.
- Experience developing Salesforce applications for multiple customers.
- Experience designing customer self-service installation and configuration workflows.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with commercial SaaS products.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Gearset, or Copado.

- Salesforce Platform Developer I / II
- Salesforce JavaScript Developer I
- Salesforce Application Architect
- Salesforce System Architect

Practical AppExchange / ISV and Managed Package experience is more important than certifications.

Important

Candidates with experience only in Salesforce implementation, administration, or customer-specific customization may not be suitable for this position.
