Role & responsibilities

A ServiceNow Workspace Playbook UI Builder is a specialized developer or designer role focused on creating task-oriented, guided experiences within Configurable Workspaces. This role is at the intersection of Process Automation Designer (PAD) and the UI Builder.

Core Responsibilities

- Experience Design: Build and customize Playbook Experience components to guide agents through complex workflows.
- UI Configuration: Use UI Builder to create and map contemporary interfaces, including page layouts, component styling, and theming.
- Data Integration: Set up Data Resources and use Data Binding to fetch and display platform data within the Playbook.
- Interaction Logic: Define Event Handlers and Client Scripts to enable interactive, responsive components.
- Workflow Mapping:



Collaborate with process owners to translate Process Automation Designer lanes and activities into the Playbook UI.

Key Technical Skills
- ServiceNow Platform: Deep expertise in the Next Experience UI Framework and configurable workspaces.
- Development Tools: Proficiency in UI Builder, Process Automation Designer (PAD), and Flow Designer.
- Languages: Strong JavaScript (specifically Glide APIs and client-side scripting), HTML, CSS, and JSON.
- UX/UI Principles: Ability to build consumer-grade, component-based experiences following ServiceNow best practices
